Their hypocrisy truly knows no bounds.

One of the principle reasons I do not feel anymore power should be granted to our federal gov’t, is the complete hypocritical nature of the current members of congress. Yes, I know this is a chronic problem today with politics, but the problem cannot be solved by ignoring it, saying we have more important things to do right now, or simply brushing it off. If I understand correctly, corporate execs who purchase private jets to fly around for meetings are bad, but members of Congress (who spend most of their time in Washington) buying private jets with our money is OK? I want to see Congress fly a commercial airline and go through the same process we ALL have to. Last flight I took, I sat on the tarmac for 2 hrs waiting to take off in a rather small jet. I would love to see how Miss Pelosi, Mr. Reid, or the any other member of congress would handle that situation. I am sick of hearing about a politico elite that feels it is above it’s own people who put them there.
This will be a rather short post today, have a lot going with the summer and all. I hope everyone is having a safe and great summer!

It’s quite fustrating watching them go nuts over private citizens flying their own aircraft, but will have no problem spending my money to buy themselves these ones.
Speaking of busy summers, you want to go to a range and do some shooting sometime?

I find it interesting how many of them tend to object when new ethics rules regarding congress are introduced…
I’ve always held that members of congress should be payed the federal minimum wage and be barred from any other form of income. They call me an evil communist when I suggest that one though, heaven forbid we “drag down” members of congress to “the lowest levels” eh?
Then again, I think we’d see the minimum wage turn into an actual living wage somewhat quickly.
In any case, I digress. Congresscritters allocating private jets for their use rubs me very very wrong. Stand in line with TSA like the rest of us damnit.

You no longer have a democratic republic when the people in congress don’t have to follow the rules and laws they pass for everyone else. It’s called an Aristocracy. Read the founding fathers. They made it very clear that laws should apply to everyone, not just the dirty masses.

I was at the range last weekend actually. Took the Mosin out for some fun at 100yds. Shot a 3in group. No terrible, but I could do better. Unfortunately, I had some server problems this weekend, which kind of killed me. I will probably be taking my new Glock pistol out to the range next weekend. I want to practice some on it.
