Just what MA needs…

by CmdrFenix on May.09, 2009, under Political Discussion

Massachusetts is a lost cause. Period. End of discussion. There is no hope for the Commonwealth and that is sad in and of itself for the amount of history there. The politicians are “noble elites” that hold the government in a veritable choke hold, they know what is best for everyone, and there is no hope of unseating them. They are still completely delusional in thinking they can legislate crime away! This is purely a political ruse (and you all know just how much I love politics), to push a liberal agenda that includes the complete disarmament of the population and the guarantee of their total reliance on government for everything.

The legislation would also create a new felony of using a gun while committing a misdemeanor, limit gun purchases to one per month, and require sales of guns by private parties to be recorded by licensed gun dealers.

Tell me they aren’t as inept as I see them? Tell me they have some gray matter in their heads? Do they really think that criminals will abide by a one gun a month law? Do they really think the criminals will go to a licensed dealer in order to sell or transfer guns? I live in NH and love this state. The only reason I even discuss MA politics here is because of the extreme example of what we must all fight against. The government cannot protect you. The police are under no obligation to help you. Do not be as delusional as the residents of MA, and yes I do hold them responsible for their own pile of government, in thinking that these rules and laws make you safer.

“We see and feel the effects gun violence has on our families and our communities throughout Massachusetts – and we must do everything in our power to help prevent it,” said Governor Patrick. “This legislation gives law enforcement the critical tools they need, and sends a very strong message that illegal gun use will not be tolerated.”

MA has already said they have no money for most programs and they are suffering from a very serious budget short fall. Why not relax some of the restrictions on legal firearm ownership in the Commonwealth and give the residents a chance to help themselves. I also have to ask the question, what “tool” does he think he’s giving Law Enforcement that they already don’t have? Do they not have the ability to arrest someone for possessing a gun illegally? What does he think a 1 gun a month ration will do for that?

I hold the MA voters responsible for the mess they find themselves in. They continue to just allow the Democratic legislature to walk all over them each time they go to the polls. Some of it isn’t the residents fault, but a large chunk of the blame does fall on them. Government exists only at the sufferance of the people who allow it.

Ted Kennedy’s wife, Vicki, and his nephew, former congressman Joe Kennedy, are getting set for a bruising battle over who will succeed the ailing senator, according to a new book excerpted in the new issue of Vanity Fair magazine.

Excuse me, but doesn’t that call for a special election now that they’ve changed the law (at the time so it would be in their favor) so the governor doesn’t select a replacement? Since when did nobility decides who succeeds someone in government, because honestly that is what it feels like.

How did it no longer end up in the hands of the governor? When Senator Kerry had the possibility of winning the presidency, the question of his senate seat came up, but at that time MA had a gasp Republican governor and of course the very Democratic legislature would never let him decides a replacement because they could upset their control. So they changed the law to stack to favor themselves.

The Democrats, needless to say, do not want Mr. Romney to be able to appoint someone to the Senate seat, as the law currently allows. They worry that that would give the Republicans a leg up when the seat — which could be pivotal to which party ends up controlling the United States Senate — came up for election.

They knew that if they forced an election they had a better chance of retaining that senate seat since a large part of the MA population has been brainwashed into thinking it’s the best place on the planet to live, the Democrats are the reason why, and they get their hand outs regularly from the state to prove it. Hand outs which are preventing the state from properly funding police and other really important services. Welcome to the prime example of the Welfare State.

I will leave you with the inauguration speech for Ronald Reagan to think about. Really listen to his words and how they are applicable today as they were in 1981.
