They aren't pirates anymore!

Being politically correct seems to be important these days. First they were terrorists… Then they were enemy combatants… Now they are something else. I am absolutely tired of it. They fought against us in war. They fought for a repressive regime that harbored mass murderers, but let’s not hurt their feelings and call them what they are. Now don’t get me wrong… I do not feel they should be held indefinitely, but that doesn’t mean they should be allowed in the United States. If their own country won’t take them back, then so be it. Gitmo it is.
… anyhow, to the purpose of my article.
Al Sharpton has his own radio program and in that program had the nads to question the term pirates. Are you $%^#’ng kidding me? You raid ships… steel cargo… take hostages for money. That sounds like the definition of piracy. Sure they aren’t Johnny Depp, but I think it is safe to describe them as pirates.
Now let’s talk about Captain Richard Philips. He is the Captain of the Maersk Alabama, a cargo ship that was briefly taken by pirates off the coast of Somalia. I say briefly because the crew was able to retake the vessel when the Captain agreed to be taken hostage in guarantee for his crew’s safety. He was finally rescued after 5 days when US Navy believing his life was in danger, had a group of US Navy SEAL snipers at the ready to end the situation. 3 of the 4 pirates ended up poking their heads up long enough to get VERY severe head aches. Now I know some are worried about back lash, but giving in is NEVER an option.
I like to live by the statement that you never start a fight, but by god you make sure the fight is finished.
