Open Carry

Well… I went on Sun to an open carry litter pickup outside the NH statehouse on Sun. This was my first open carry experience ever. I was kind of nervous at first until I met everyone else. It was cool so I wore my jacket, but I had my 1911 out in the open. We walked around for a few hours and picked up trash. People honked and gave us thumbs up. There were no negative responses that I saw. Afterwards the organizer, another couple, and myself went out to lunch. Again still open carrying. No police or swat showed up. I ordered some tacos and chips and we sat a table and just talked about current events and stuff that was going on.
Does this mean I will open carry more? I might when I’m with a group of people, but probably not if I’m alone. I think that to some degree surprise can be a weapon in of itself. I am watching sites like opencarry.org and northeastshooters.com for any more events in my area. I will be going to more for sure. It’s great to meet nice people and realize that I’m not alone!
The Concord Monitor was there. Jason, the organizer got interviewed and was asked some great questions. We made front page, but got one picture and about 3 sentences about what happened. To say I am disappointed is an understatement.

So last night I OC’d to McDonald’s for dinner, Christmas Tree shop, and the NH Liquor store in Nashua. Surprisingly, no swat team or cops showed up!
